Birthdays & Baseball

Hey everyone,

In honor of my fiancé’s birthday today, I thought I would dedicate this post to him. If you have read my ‘About me’ section you would know that he is a former professional baseball player, and that he had to travel A LOT for work. As much as he loved his job, we had to make some sacrifices which included spending time with one another. After five years of dating we’re FINALLY able to spend our birthdays together! This time last year he was preparing for his 7th regular season to start. Selfishly, I’m happy to have him home!

I figured this casual “MLB Spring Training” inspired outfit would be fitting for this post and time of year. Dressing for sporting events can be difficult sometimes depending on the weather, the color schemes or your team, and the inconvenience of the stadium. Sometimes you have to walk down a 100 stairs in the 80 degree weather to get to your seat and by the time you get there you have to go to the bathroom ha-ha. I believe finding a balance between comfort and dressing casually, is KEY. There’s nothing worse than seeing girls in heels at the ball games. Even though their shoes were cute they seemed like they were so uncomfortable and very overdressed. I hope you find my “sporty look” as the perfect balance to root on your favorite team.
