This weekend I’m headed to my parent’s house to spend Father’s Day with my family. I haven’t been to their place in a while so it will be nice to go back to my old stomping grounds. I love that the weather is typically warmer around this time of year because it allows for some fun outdoor activities with my dad. Lucky for me, my parents have a pool in their backyard so I’m sure there will be a lot of BBQ’n and lounging in the sun.
As much as I love giving my dad gifts, I think it’s important to spend quality time together. I’ve listed some FUN activities that you and your dad can do this Father’s Day…
A couple of years ago I bought my dad tickets to an Angel’s Baseball game and there was a concert to follow. It was a BLAST and he really enjoyed it.
- Sports Bar
Instead of hitting up a professional game why not watch multiple sporting events at your Dad’s favorite bar.
My dad loves to golf so instead of torturing him with my terrible golfing skills all day long I liked the idea of hitting some golf balls for only a few hours.
I’ve NEVER been to the gun range however, my dad and I have talked about how cool it would be to do this. Maybe I’ll surprise him next year with it ha ha.
Take your dad to a movie you know HE would enjoy. You might want to leave out the “rom coms” (romantic comedies).
Help your dad with all of the prepping (buying the ingredients, chopping and cleaning the dishes) and leave the grilling to the master.
Enjoy your weekend and be nice to your dad!
