“You request and I suggest!”

I want to start off this post by thanking all of my followers who have inspired me to do a “Tips and Tricks” type installment today. I really enjoy helping everyone with fashion ideas because it’s a way for us to be fun and creative together!

With that said, from time to time I will post my work outfits/office looks on my Instagram feed. As I’ve mentioned before (here), I work at a medical office and due to the professional setting, I’m unable to dress outside their dress code – however, I totally understand, it’s a business! I can only imagine what my co-workers would wear everyday…I’m guessing their sweats or PJ’s ha ha. After receiving messages from followers requesting I share my work outfits, I decided to switch things up on the blog today.

Here are some of my favorite outfits that I wore the past two weeks as well as some tips on buying affordable dress clothes. Thanks for stopping by and we’re one day closer to Friday – Yahoo!

P.S. I’ve linked all of my outfits and accessories so you can see where and when every item was worn. I hope these inspire your fashion taste for the next work week. Enjoy!

-Purchase slacks on sale. Most of the ones I bought were $40-60 from Express.
I have hard time finding dress pants that fit me and Express seems to be the only brand that works for me.

-Buy a variety of slacks…
skinny cut, medium flare, and multiple colors. You can rotate these throughout the week.

-Don’t break the bank when buying blazers…
I buy my blazers from Forever21 and H&M because they’re more affordable. I love the versatile choices they offer because I can wear these outside of work by pairing them with jeans.

-Load up on statement necklaces & earrings…
I’m a statement necklace junkie (just ask my co-workers)! In my opinion, jewelry can totally change an outfit. Adding one piece of something different to your favorite items can change the whole look.

-Invest in comfortable work heels or flats and when you find the PERFECT pair buy them in multiple colors ha ha…
I’ve had some luck with buying flats from Forever21. I was hesitant at first, however these (here) are my favorite and most comfortable pair.
I finally found the best work heels (here, and here)! I loved them so much I bought a pair in nude and black. I use to work in sales and was constantly on my feet. I wish I would’ve found these heels back then.

-Stick to one or two work bags…
A few years ago i would change my purses and totes every day. I finally realized that I couldn’t afford to do that anymore because I would leave my wallet and keys in the one I wore the day before. I LOVE my Tory Burch Tote because it’s MASSIVE and holds everything that I need during my work week. Keep it simple!
